What Gossip Girl star is a big fan of the white powder????

His/her consumption has gotten a bit out of control recently, insiders tell us.

A reporter for Glamour hung out with Lauren Conrad recently, cuz she was forced to.

She wants us to know the following about LC:

- As with all celebs, seemed way shorter/thinner in person. Also, tanner.
- Seemingly really sweet/almost a little shy. I wasn’t getting stuck-up vibes. When I needed to find the ladies’ room, she walked me there, despite 10 publicists who could have done so instead.
- Shockingly well-spoken considering the inane dialogue we generally see her involved in on The Hills.

If we were Lauren, we’d be pissed that MTV ‘reality’ was making us look like a clueless bitch.

The contract between the Broadway League (the producers) and the Actors’ Equity Association (the thespians) has expired as of Sunday. Both sides, however, say negotiations on a new contract are continuing.

Luckily, neither side wants a repeat of the strikes that took place last November by the stagehands. That resulted in more than two dozen Broadway shows being dark for 19 days.

Oh, and it also cost the producers and city millions of dollars in lost revenues!

Peaceful strikes can make an impact.

In a joint statement, both sides have said “The talks remain productive and both parties are confident a fair and equitable contract will be reached.”

The negotiations will include talks about the obvious, such as health care benefits and pension.

They will also be talking about the touring program, which was started back in 2004, which allows for different levels of pay for different kinds of tours such as the large hits like Wicked, which can last in some cities for weeks and months.

Then the lesser known plays are usually riskier and will only play weekly sets at a lower pay scale.

Also taken into consideration will be the topic of “new media” in which scenes and performers from the shows are used to promote the shows on the Internet.

Whatever happens, let’s just hope they don’t go on strike.

Looks like Ticketmaster will have some serious competition. Hopefully this will cause it to be competitive - and lower its prices!!!!!!

Live Nation, the owners and promoters of music venues all around the world (who also gave Jay Z and Madonna those crazy $100 million contracts), will be launching its own ticketing arm once its contract with Ticketmaster expires at the end of the year.

A little competition is always good for us buyers!

But at the end of the day, Live Nation is a big corporation, too.

Just plan on them taking your money in other ways - like scalping their own tickets!
