Maggie Gyllenhaal Puts Baby Ramona Before Work

Monday, June 30th, 2008

Maggie Gyllenhaal says motherhood made her a better actress, but now she wants to spend more time at home than in front of the cameras.

“I think having a child changes everything and has deepened everything in my life,” said Gyllenhaal, mom to 20-month-old daughter Ramona.

“It really does crack you open in every conceivable way. I never knew that I could be so tired. I never knew that I could work so hard. I never knew that I could love so much or be so patient or be so excited by the tiniest, tiniest little thing. Everything about it has surprised me,” Maggie said.

It took next month’s The Dark Knight, in which Gyllenhaal co-stars with Christian Bale and the late Heath Ledger, to get her back to work.

From the looks of the previews, it was well worth it.

At home, Maggie Gyllenhaal says she receives tremendous support balancing parenthood and career from fiancé, Peter Sarsgaard.

“We share absolutely equally,” she explained, and added that her younger brother Jake Gyllenhaal is “a great uncle.”

Lily Allen’s grandmother passed away while the singer was at the Glastonbury music fest this past weekend.

A distraught Allen reportedly surprised the fest’s organizers when she took the stage (as planned) as a special guest of producer Mark Ronson. Many didn’t think she’d be up for it after hearing the tragic news.

Lils told the crowd, “You know what? My nanny Allen died last night so, this one’s for you. I love you.”

Allen’s ex boyfriend, Ed Simmons of the Chemical Brothers was there to comfort and support the grieving singer, according to reports.

Instead of Jesus, we often like to ask ourself, “What would Madonna do?”

Well, she would love this shit!

As we’ve said many times before, Roisin Murphy is one of the most exciting forces in music today.

What makes her so special????

Well, Roisin is making songs and videos that no one else would make.

She’s truly unique!

Fighting Over His Money

Monday, June 30th, 2008

Everyone is after your money, even when you’re dead.

With the passing of famed opera singer Luciano Pavarotti many questions arose regarding his estate.

According to Italian Law, half of the estate is given to the deceased’s widow and the other half to the children.

But, Pavarotti had two wills drafted while dealing with his yearlong battle with cancer.

The first will divided it up according to Italian law, with half the money going to his second wife, Nicoletta Mantovani, and the other half to his four daughters.

Three of the daughters are adults from his 35 yearlong marriage to his first wife, and the fourth is his daughter with Mantovani born in 2003.

Mantovani’s lawyer is now saying the family has come to a “friendly” agreement on how to divide up his estate. Though he declined to provide any details about their agreement with Pavarotti’s three eldest daughters.

A judge is expected to confirm this new deal by the end of July.

Let’s hope his three eldest daughters don’t get ripped off from what belongs to them.

This could be good…or really bad!

Molly Ringwald revealed in a recent interview that she would be up for doing a Sixteen Candles sequel.

Ringwald says, “It was something that I definitely wanted to do, but [writer-director] John Hughes wasn’t interested, and I didn’t feel comfortable doing it without his involvement. If we can get John to agree, I think it would be great. I think there are definitely a lot of people who would love to see it, and I would love to do it.”

Perhaps, John Hughes knows what’s best. Why mess with a classic?

What are your thoughts?

Do y’all want to see a sequel????

The Michael Lohan story about his affair and rumored 13 year old bastard daughter, Ashley, continues.

But, to set the record straight, Michael has decided to take a paternity test.

He says, “I took the DNA test this morning. I will get the results within the next two weeks.”

Aww, what a great guy. He’s going through such a rough and personal time, and yet he still has time to open up to the media about it.

Kudos.

He continues, “It was important for me to know the truth, so I took the test. However, I have some serious doubts after investigating [the mother and his former mistress] Kristi’s background.”

Tisk tisk.

Is he calling his former mistress a slut?????

Well, we agree with him there!

Do U think Michael is the father of this 13 year old girl? Or could the mother be doing it for publicity, fame, and money?
